The Team

Director - Frances Brownlie LGSM; LRAM

After graduating from The London Guildhall School of Music and Drama Frances went on to  direct over 200 productions from Pantomime to Shakespeare. She has presented plays both nationally and internationally. Incidentally, Frances was Artistic Director for the first stage presentation of the Mary Poppins Story in 1974. 

 

 

Director - Rev John Sebastian BA HONS

Nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award and graduate of East 15 Acting School John has enjoyed various roles, from Kite in The Recruiting Officer to the title role in Macbeth to the troubled Northampton poet John Clare, in The Fool. His work has seen him perform in theatres from  the UK to Australia.  John’s experiences working for various theatre companies inspired him to become a founder member of the successful Sky Blue Theatre.

Director - Anne Bartram            

As a published playwright Anne’s plays have been produced in various venues and cities in the UK. She has appeared on stage in many different roles both modern and classical but her real interest now lies in directing and writing for theatre.

 

Angela Anderson BA HONS

A keen choreographer, Angela has wowed audiences with Musical Theatre Productions such as West Side Story and Oliver with 120 strong cast. A keen supporter and promoter of youth theatre Angela has worked with The Young Shakespeare Company and MOPA Theatre Company after graduating from Mountview Conservatoire for the Performing Arts. She recently joined the team at West Suffolk College where her focus is on inspiring and motivating students to challenge their beliefs and produce exciting, innovative theatre.

Stephen Brownlie

Steve graduated from Mountview Conservatoire for the Performing Arts and has since worked both nationally and internationally for theatre, television and film alongside talents such as John Cleese, Clive Mantle and Michael Winner. Steve’s interest in encouraging young talent sees him working with students at  Sky Blue Theatre’s Dramawise and lecturing at  Mountview Conservatoire.

Jenni Sinclair BSc.

Initially Jenni performed in a number of musicals taking on character roles. Her interest then turned to directing when she directed A Little Night Music by Sondheim, Follow The Star a nativity musical and three one act plays by Nick Warburton. Jenni has joined the team as company manager utilising her experience in stage management and design. 

 

John Fricker BA HONS

Since graduating from East 15 Acting School in 2005, John has participated in a variety of different projects for theatre and film. Film work has included a cameo appearance in award winning feature film Are You Ready For Love as Rick. He is also a collaborator with Tax Deductible Theatre Company, appearing in their staged works. John has most recently been seen in Press adverts as Mr Pink in a recreation of the famous Reservoir Dogs poster.
